Tues. Oct 13, 2015: Paragraph Writing Reflection

Today, I returned all the paragraphs to the students. I then had them do the following:

1. Actively read the paragraph with the comments covered. Look for omissions and errors and highlight them.
2. Read the side comments.
3. Red the final comments and rubric outcome.
4. Get out a sheet of paper, put submission information on it and answer the following question:

      Based on our previous rubrics discussion, your reading of your paragraph today, and your marks and comments for this assignment, is your mark fair? Explain. Also, explain how you can improve your mark on the next writing assignment.

These were then submitted. Students were allowed the rest of class to work on their critiques (should have all been submitted) or read their independent novels.
